«Love Rocket» is the name of the fresh debut LP by Jar that has hit the shelves under the roof of N-Gage Productions, an indie label from Basle, on Valentine's Day. This rocket - built by Thurgovie's best Reggae band in cooperation with Bavarian sound specialists and Reggae musicians Florian Strober and Bernhard Fischer (The Steadytones, Judge Dread Memorial) - will fly a club tour in winter/spring with over fiveteen already confirmed dates in Switzerland and abroad, into the festival summer, until infinity, and beyond.
This journey is about coming together, about unity. About family and friends. About romance. About dancing together, laughing together and drinking beer together. About tingling intimicy. About each and every sunset that one is able to share. About loud cries for justice for minorities and our planet. And always about never forgetting to enjoy these things in the here and now. It's about not clinging too tightly and loosing sight of the most important things in life: Love and music. The more the merrier, so join us: It's gonna be a joyful ride.
With Jar, modern Reggae melts with classic Rocksteady and experimental influences from the experience of each band member with time-proven Traditional Ska. Like the vintage Hammond organ with a Leslie amplifier that gets a boost from modern distortion pedals and echo devices, the band's music captures the symbiosis between tradition and progress. It creates a unique sound that just won't let you sit still. In summer, it fits right in and in winter, it keeps you warm.
